It is certainly easier to buy a gift for Dad than make one. Yet, you should still add your own touch to ensure Dad will feel special.

A survival kit especially for Dad. Any size box will work just fine. Use construction paper in dad’s favorite color to line the box. You can dig through your art supplies to find something you can decorate the box with crayons, glue, stickers, glitter, all will do. Once the box is decorated, you can keep it looking nice by covering it with clear contact paper. Your box can be filled with Dad’s favorites: Cookies, tools, DVDs, family pictures, or even a band-aid. Your imagination sets the limit of what you can add. You could use a plastic container to craft your box as well. Use puffy paints and glitter glue to decorate.

A Father’s Day T-shirt made just for Dad. On the computer, create a picture all your own. Make sure you add “Happy Father’s Day, and then you can add pictures of anything representing Dad’s favorite hobby. You can easily find these online on many free clip art sites. Print your creation on a piece of iron-on paper you should have no trouble finding in the craft section of your local discount store. Finally, simply iron-on your creation to a T-shirt.

One of a kind paperweight. A large rock or shell will be great for your project. You can write “Happy Father’s Day on the item using glitter or paint, and then you can make it even more appealing by decorating it further to fit Dad’s taste. Dad will love using his paperweight, both at home and at work.

Father’s Day coupons are another great idea. You can create your own coupons, or use online templates. Coupons can be for anything your wishing to offer Dad, such as “mowing the lawn”, “breakfast in bed” and “do your laundry”. This is a great Father’s Day gift for teens!
